Anita Shreve started her writing career as a journalist and her award-winning short stories and non-fiction have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Cosmopolitan and Esquire. Shreve travelled to Nairobi, Kenya, where she lived for three years, working as a journalist for an African magazine. Anita is the author of fourteen previous acclaimed novels such as The Weight of Water, The Pilot's Wife, Light on Snow, A Wedding in December, Body Surfing and Testimony. She lives in Massachusetts.
